Soulies

Soulies are graveyard fairies from an astral realm, whose purpose is to guide lost souls of the dead. They love to dwell in spooky dilapidated graveyards as those tend to draw in the most souls, as well as unwitting visitors. They protect the graveyards they live in, and love to play funny pranks on unwelcome visitors, such as teleporting them away to an entirely different location. These race of fairies are white arts, but they love spooky outfits and pretending otherwise.

I was one such unwelcome visitor. I stepped into the graveyard as I was traveling, and immediately got teleported to a huge castle with bright lights and ornate furnishings. In front of me was a huge throne, and a lady with a very stern expression sat on it, demanding to know why I was trespassing. I hastily curtsied, as appropriate to a monarch, and explained myself. Once I finished my explanation, lo and behold, the lady suddenly transformed and became a small fairy. While giggling, she flew to me and laughed. Understanding my goal of travelling to find unique beings, she agreed to give me permission to bind both entities and spirits of their kind. I find with fairies, words themselves are magic, but still I wondered if there were any amazing pact ritual as with others I have encountered. She just laughed and made sparkles appear in front of me. There, it’s done, she said. What a jester…

I got teleported back to the graveyard and got to look at how the fairies worked. There, they travelled far and wide to find souls who couldn’t find their way, and guided them to the graveyard. Though, they seem to be quite playful and mischievous, sometimes taking the long route to bring them back. What a noble purpose these fairies have, yet there is a sense of humour in how they go about doing it, instead of making it a solemn affair, seeing as the souls are comforted by the very acts of these fairies. They are much more active during the night, going out then to do their jobs. During the daytime, these fairies hide inside the nooks and crannies of the graves.

These fairies are good with working with the dead as they guide lost souls, and will be able to help with connecting you to those who have passed on. They also possess a cheeky and fun energy, and may sometimes prank you, but it is always harmless. If you feel lost and directionless, these fairies will be able to bring you back to reality, helping to ground you.
