Miminks
Miminks are somewhat similar to treasure chest mimics in terms of their appearances, but they are actually entirely different inside. They are not a treasure chest, nor a mimic on their own. Actually, they are parasitic symbiotes that coexist with a type of slimy tentacle monster. Miminks are the cute little creatures you see in the pictures. They are small, cute and very harmless.
They cannot protect themselves, that is why they attach themselves to the tentacle monster. They then try to find a treasure chest to live inside of once they find their tentacle host, because they like being in enclosed boxes, as well as treasures. They like gemstones, gold, coins, anything that resembles riches.
They are not good with verbal communication nor have telepathy, but are very expressive with their face. You can usually tell what they are thinking or wanting to convey via their faces. These Miminks cannot leave their treasure chest for a long period of time, otherwise they start drying up and will pass away. If their treasure chest is destroyed, they need to find another quickly. You cannot seperate them, they are considered as one once attached. The Miminks provide the tentacle host regenerative abilities, so if some part of them gets cut off, the tentacle is able to heal itself. They eat coins or gold to replenish their energy.
Miminks switch their treasure chests if their tentacle host grows too big, as they have to find a bigger one. They move around either by jumping, or using the tentacles as legs to move around. Miminks are great pets for those who love hoarding treasures! They do need protection if bringing them out for adventures, as they are usually defenseless. They have great sense for finding treasures nearby them, which is why they make great pets for any beings who love riches.
