Meresmiels

Meresmiels are a race of hybrid beings that live above the clouds of their planet in the astral realm. They have feathers coming out the side of their head, and they have wings on the back of their bodies as well. The feathers on their head serve a purpose in helping them intuit things by picking up tiny bits of information not seen to the naked eye, kind of like a sensor. They are usually white in colour, with some having slight different colour variations. Their eyes are usually closed, but can be opened as well at will.

They work very closely with intuition, always closely following their gut feelings in all things and situations. In times of uncertainty where they are not able to intuit anything, that’s when they open their eyes to check things out. However, their eyesight senses would overwrite their innate intuition if they were to rely on it heavily, making them lose their ability over time.

Meresmiels who have their eyes perpetually open have lost their intuition senses, or have chosen to forgo that innate ability of theirs by their own will. Sometimes, due to their eyes being closed most of the time, it’s hard to tell if they are awake, dreaming, or sleep walking. They have full autonomy over their body even while asleep, so perhaps they straddle both worlds.

Their eyes are extremely beautiful to gaze at. They are able to charm others with their eyes, being a sort of siren, not with their voices, but with their otherworldly gaze. It is like a dark abyss that people fall into and never get out. Some Meresmiels can get addicted to charming others, making them fall to the dark arts side. Dark Arts Meresmiels typically enjoy dominating and controlling others to do their bidding. They also do not have their intuition ability anymore, and constantly have their eyes opened.
