Fwisps

Fwisps are small floating creatures that don a white cloth on them, and they carry a lantern, but not just any lantern. The lantern has to be a fruit that is round. Fwisps take their time to find the perfect fruit, before consuming the inside to make space for the light that they will use to brighten the area. They only come out at night, and it seems the weight of the fruit doesn’t matter. Each Fwisps has their own preferences for what fruit they like, and some may swap it out seasonally depending on what is trending. I have seen some carrying big fruits, from watermelon-looking ones to small tiny ones similar to blueberries. I tried to peek at what they look like underneath the cloth, but most of them scurried away as if it was a secret that cannot be divulged. Their cloth has eyes and mouth shapes cut out so that they can still see and eat. Their teeth are sharp! Other than finding the perfect fruit, they also find the perfect cloth for themselves. They have a few conditions for their cloth: It cannot be translucent, patterns are fine, the length has to completely cover them, and it being white is a must.
