Dobots

Dobots (pronounced doo-bots) are sentient AI helper robots infused with spirits, that were developed in a realm that has highly advanced technology. There are a lot of them, and most of them tend to get discarded whenever the newest trend of helper robot comes out.

There is a huge mountain junkyard consisting solely of Dobots. Some are deactivated, whilst some are left to roam without their original master, and some are just damaged but still very much capable. Because they are each infused with a spirit, being deactivated is sort of a ‘death’ for them. They then take on the form of what they were originally in their passed on form.

Because they are sentient, they can learn new things and gain new knowledge to help their companion. They come in many different sorts of forms, but one common feature is that they always have a screen to show their expressions.

Because they are programmed to be helpful and nice, they do tend to remain within their programming rules even though they are sentient, but can have the opportunity to change and form a new personality depending on the data they absorb from their environment.
